Tacktick’s wireless, interfacing, solar powered Remote Display has been shortlisted for this year’s Dame Awards for innovation taking place at Mets 18th-20th November 2008.

Tacktick’s Remote Display enables boat owners to have all the essential data they need at their finger tips; from speed and depth to rolling trends of wind etc as well as waypoint information. And with Tacktick’s unique interface box you can receive data from any onboard NMEA instruments in addition to your Tacktick instruments. Add to that the fact that the Remote Display is wireless, waterproof to 10m and solar powered and you’ll understand why its been shortlisted for these awards.

The Tacktick Remote Display is simple to use and simple to install; once connected to your existing instruments via the wireless NMEA interface it can display a multitude of data including speed, depth, apparent and true wind speeds and angles, heading, track course, trip log, lat and long, distance and bearing to waypoint. The screen can display either large single digits, four lines of data, or a rolling graphic or graphical trends. Any number of hand held displays can be added to the system giving each crew member the ability to have fast, accurate information in their hand at any time.
