Sunday, 7 December 2008Sydney Harbour Former Giltinan champion Euan Mc Nicol scored his first win since returning to the 18ft Skiffs this season when he piloted Southern Cross Constructions to victory in Race 5 of the NSW Championship today. Mc Nicol, along with two other former Giltinan champions Trent Barnabas and Aaron Links gave an outstanding performance to defeat Rag & Famish Hotel (John Harris) by 1m 14s. Despite their second placing today, the Rag & Famish team retain the overall lead in the championship. Third today, and second overall, was the defending champion Gotta Love It 7 (Seve Jarvin), which finished 44s behind The Rag.
